About Tom: Meet the Author

Tom Pado is often described as “larger than life.” Personally, and professionally, the energy and enthusiasm he brings to life is productive and infectious. His optimism, humor, and heart are woven into his every interaction with people.

For an inquisitive and curious kid who had no idea where he was headed in life once Tom found his direction, not even the ocean depths could limit him.

In fact, the ocean depths called to him like a siren of the sea. He answered and sang right along with her probably bringing food and drink and fun.

Although always quick with a joke or a kind word, Tom was deadly serious about his work. He knew the many risks and dangers that existed in his underwater world. He could not tolerate anyone putting people at risk because of their ignorance or ego. While his contributions to the industry were often hatched in his head alone, he engaged intelligent and talented people to travel the journey with him. 

His journey has brought him back to Indiana where he lives with the love of his life and his Rottweiler companion, Sookie. Active in the community and local government, it is not uncommon to see them around town just making sure all is well and sharing a friendly conversation with all they meet.
